How to make portals in Minecraft?

A portal is a structure that helps the player move from one place or dimension to another. There are two dimensions in the standard package: the Nether World and the Ender World. You can visit other dimensions by installing the necessary modifications. So, let's find out how to make portals in Minecraft and what we need for this.

Creating a portal to the Nether in Minecraft

In order to make a portal to Hell, you will need fourteen obsidian blocks. You can get them by finding lava in a dungeon and filling it with water. You can also mine obsidian with a diamond pickaxe. The portal to hell is four blocks wide and five blocks high. Sometimes corner blocks are not installed (to save obsidian), but the portal works fine even without them.

To activate the portal, you need to arm yourself with a lighter (crafted from silicon and a metal ingot, which, in turn, is smelted in a furnace from iron ore) and set fire to any of the obsidian blocks. The space inside the portal will take on a swirly texture and turn purple. This means that the portal can be used.

Making a portal to the End in Minecraft

Before you learn how to make an Ender Dragon portal, you will have to find a fortress, and in it - a room with a destroyed portal.

The fortress can be found using the Eye of the Edge. It is created from Ender pearls (dropped after killing an Ender wanderer) and fire powder (crafted from a fire rod that drops from Ifrit in the Hell dimension). In order to find a fortress using the Eye of the Edge, you need to pick it up and press the right mouse button. The eye will rise up and fly a little towards the portal (which is located exclusively in the fortress). You need to go in the direction where the eye flew. After a short section of the path, the eye will fall, you need to pick it up and repeat the procedure until you reach the fortress.

You will have to stock up on a few eyes, as sometimes they disappear when you fall. Once you have found the portal, you will need to activate it. To do this, insert the missing End Eyes into the empty slots of the frame.

Creating a portal to Paradise in Minecraft

This portal works with the AetherMod modification. To make a portal to Paradise, you will need fourteen blocks of glowing stones (obtained with a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch or by combining four units of glowing dust, which falls out when a glowing stone is destroyed in the Nether dimension) and a bucket of water. The bucket is created from three metal ingots, and there should be no problems finding sources of water. The frame of the portal to Heaven is created according to the same principle as the portal to Hell, and then water is poured inside.

More information about this can be found in the article.

Before you decide to build a portal to a city in Minecraft, you will need to search for a settlement. To do this, you will need a map, a compass, and provisions to be able to find your way. You can build a city in advance using a map. This can be done by using another method: choose a place and break the local spawn eggs. You need to calculate for the size of the village how many eggs you will need. Later, you can take a break. After the village is built, residents can begin creating a portal.
Of course, for this you need to install mods to gain access to direct movement from your place of residence to your settlement. There is another method, in the case of constructing a portal to the Lower World, the number of portals created and ready for construction does not matter. The transfer from Hell will be precisely there.

How to create a portal to a city in Minecraft?

Construction requires about 20 obsidian blocks, they are found in dungeons. Before filling the source with standing lava, water is poured into it; it is easy to find. You can mine it using a diamond pickaxe, and transport it using buckets created from three ingots made of iron. If you took 10 obsidian blocks, you need to come to the surface of the settlement. To start building a frame from quarried blocks, you need to decide where best to build by choosing the terrain. Then, you need to activate it using flint and an iron ore ingot.

Now in detail. Launch the game and select creative mode. Now just go straight (press the W key) until you come across a city.

Now we need obsidian.

And a lighter or any other source of fire.
We choose a place and start building. We place 4 oxidine blocks at the bottom and 5 blocks at the top and we get a 3 by 2 square.

Then we just set it on fire. We fill all the squares with fire.
And we go straight into this purple part.

How to activate the portal to the city

Activation will be considered successful if the space turns purple. Now the portal is ready for the game, what is required for this: you need to return to the housing, create the same one. We go into the portal and wait a little, then we are transported to the Lower World. To prevent mobs from attacking after teleportation is completed, it is better to think about building a fortification around the portal in hell. Upon completion, we exit, then enter the portal, the starting point from which you exited into the dark world changes. This is how a portal to a city is created in Minecraft without using mobs. The space is filled with water if all operations were carried out correctly, and after that you can begin your journey.

Beginners and even some slightly advanced players think about how to make a portal in minecraft. In total there is 2 types of portals, the rest are added, of course, by modifications. The portal will allow you to get into a completely new unexplored dimension, where, as a rule, there are many hostile monsters and dangers. You can build one portal yourself, and one exists on the map without player intervention, although you can make it without searching on the map, using creative mode. Now we'll talk about creating things like portals to minecraft in more detail, I will try to describe what is behind these portals and what you need to be wary of, all with attached pictures.

How to make a portal in Minecraft?

1. The first portal is gate to hell or netherworld. This is a dimension dominated by lava and hostile mobs. If you are going to visit this dimension, be sure to take several pickaxes with you, preferably a bow and a sword, as you may be attacked by zombie pigs or a flying ghast. Like any dimension, in the lower world there are certain buildings, dungeons, in which you can meet not only fiery efreets, but also an entire boss.

A portal to this dimension is created using obsidian and a lighter or other fire source. The minimum number of obsidian blocks to create a portal is 10. We line them up the same way as in the picture and click on any block with a lighter. The obsidian around the edges of the portal has been removed to save resources; if you have a lot of them, you can make a larger portal; a recent update allows you to build huge portals.

Not only you, but also any mobs can teleport into the portal. An automatically created portal when teleporting to hell will help you get back. 2. The second portal will allow you to move to Ender world dimension. There lives an evil dragon that needs to be killed. All actions take place on an island made of blocks that look like sandstone. This is also a very interesting dimension, but don’t dare go there without diamond armor, the dragon will punish you!

There is no need to build such a portal; it can be found in the ordinary world, in a fortress. To get to the portal, craft an ender's eye and throw it in the air, follow it until it stops. It will fall frequently, pick it up and throw it again and again until you reach the point where the eye goes down. Dig down until you find a portal, just don't break it and don't forget to take 12 ender eyes to activate the portal.

If you are playing with creative mode and want to get into the dimension without searching, you can take the necessary materials to create a portal, arrange it in the correct order, looking in one direction, and activate it. Sometimes the portal is not created, to fix this problem, turn it the other way.

This is where our travels to other worlds end; in the following articles we will try to discuss portals in minecraft with mods.

The article was prepared by the site administrator Roman Zhivov (Lancelot).

We live in the quantum age, and the fact that our world is multidimensional is no longer new to us. There are other dimensions that are not yet accessible to our perception. Minecraft, designed, within the limits known to Notch, in the image and likeness real world, is also not limited to the easily observable macrocosm. Minecraft also has parallel universes. Of course, a bad crafter is one who does not dream of going beyond the ordinary. But other dimensions are not neighboring rooms; getting into them is not at all an easy matter. And, nevertheless, since they exist, it means there must be some “corridors” that lead to them. In Minecraft, the role of such “corridors” is played by so-called portals.

What portals are there in Minecraft? Or, more precisely, where, in what dimensions? In pure Minecraft, in addition to the regular world, there is also the End and the Nether. By installing some mods, the crafter can create portals that are not in the original version:

  • To heaven
  • To space
  • To the moon
  • To the Twilight Forest.

Let's take a closer look at these portals.

Portal to the End

edge is an empty, dark world in Minecraft, inhabited by wanderers and a dragon. The portal to this dimension is a kind of miraculous structure consisting of a dozen frames. Activation of the portal becomes possible only after all frame blocks are filled with the eyes of the End. The End Portal can be found in the fortress. Teleportation of the player to the Edge occurs after the crafter contacts the activated portal. The movement is instantaneous, the traveler has no chance to change his mind. Sometimes Minecraft creates an underwater portal into this dimension.

Portal to the Nether

The nether world of Minecraft, aka hell– this, as you understand, is not a place for quiet walks. The “door” to it, unlike the previous one, can be made with your own hands - from obsidian. I must say, this door in Minecraft looks just cool. Even if you know for sure that you will remain there in hell, you still wildly want to crawl there. P. blocks glow and have a whirlwind-like animation. In order to teleport to the Nether World of Minecraft, the crafter must stand between the obsidian blocks for several seconds. These moments enable the teleporter to realize that he is quite comfortable in the ordinary world, and to make a “rollback”.

Corridor to heaven

What cool possibilities Minecraft opens up for us! Unlike the real world, you are a sinner or not, you can make your way to both hell and heaven. We talked about the first one, but the last one is a mass of islands floating above the ordinary world. P. in this and subsequent dimensions of Minecraft can only be tinkered with the help of mods. It is into this happy dimension that the “indulgence” - the Aether mod - will help you get into it. The Paradise “turnstile” is made similarly to the previous one, only instead of obsidian a luminous stone is used. It is activated in Minecraft using water.

Portal to space

To space you can fly on a rocket, or you can use cool technology and get into interstellar space through p. It will help in its “production” Minecraft mod ModLoader. In general, building a point into space is similar to the procedure that sends you to the Lower World. Only beautiful obsidian is replaced with ordinary iron. This whole thing in Minecraft is also activated by a lighter. You should not move into airless space without thinking about what obstacles await you there. The main thing is the lack of air. It’s logical, since space is airless. Therefore, if you have a spacesuit, good. If it doesn’t exist, it will have to be done.

"Door" to the Moon

This is a special case of the previous “tour package”. To get to our native satellite in Minecraft, you need to install a lunar mod The Moon v1.1. But for this add-on to work you will need Mod Loader and ShockAhPI r6. The item itself must be “cooked” from cheese, because the Moon consists of this product. Oh, if only it were true. There is and there is her. After completion of construction, the item needs to be activated with a sonic screwdriver to perform its functions.

Minecraft is a controversial game to say the least. On the one hand, there is a huge scope for exploration - open world with changing landscapes and cycles of day and night, the ability to create absolutely anything you can think of. On the other hand, this game is made in a specific style, which is terrifying in its squareness. For people who are used to playing modern games with excellent graphics close to reality, this approach can be taken as an insult or reluctance to complete what was started. After all, one gets the impression that the game is not finished and they are trying to push us a “crude” game at the price of a full one.

Therefore, there is no consensus about the game, those who have gotten used to the graphics admire the game and are ready to give the highest marks, those who have not been able to get used to it say that it is not worth the time spent on it.

Those players who lingered at the monitor with this game were probably surprised at how unnoticed several hours of their lives flew by. And all because wherever you go, dangers await you. Despite all the colorfulness of the game, the world here is clearly not friendly, and the main question that the player asks himself is whether I can survive another night. And this is precisely what draws you to the monitor, the desire to protect yourself from the threat that comes in the night.

Construction

At first it will not be easy for you to build yourself a decent shelter. The first ones will not live up to your expectations, but the more experience you gain, the more magnificent they will become in the future. After all, here you can create almost anything, and the boundaries of creativity are measured only by the flight of your imagination. This is the beauty and at the same time the monotony of what is happening. The game gets boring the moment you run out of ideas for new buildings.

Parallel worlds

In addition to the usual spaces, the game contains several other realities that you can get into by building a certain portal. It should be noted that to create portals you need to install special mods, because the original does not have much. But in the case of Minecraft, it is impossible to say for sure whether this game has been released in its entirety or not, because it is constantly receiving updates and patches that make the process more varied and enjoyable. It is constantly developing, growing and filling with new resources.

Portal to heaven No. 1

To get to heaven in Minecraft you need to have glowing stones and a gold lighter. You need to create a frame from stones - 4 at the bottom and, accordingly, at the top and 5 on the sides, then you need to use a lighter in the center. A portal will open, and as soon as you enter it, it will take you to heaven.

At first, it is better not to move until the entire surrounding area is completely loaded to avoid the game freezing. When everything is loaded, you will see a rather cheerful picture - green lawns with a cascade of mountains, white cows with gray spots, flying pigs, creepers with halos, or rather, something that you will not see in the original world of the game, and this adds uniqueness. If you've dreamed of running through lush clouds, then you should definitely download this mod.

Portal to heaven No. 2

To create a portal to another version of heaven in Minecraft, you also need to use glowing stones, but use a bucket of water instead of a lighter. In general, the principle of the portal structure is always the same,
They are just made from different resources.

This version is slightly different from its predecessor. Paradise has become much bigger and more beautiful. Clouds of different colors have been added, each of which has its own properties; when you come into contact with some, you will be pushed in any direction, while with others, you will fly high up like on a trampoline. Not only the environment is changing, but also musical accompaniment. If you catch a hare here, you don’t have to be afraid to jump from any height, since it acts as a parachute when worn head-on.

Portal to hell

There are two ways to get to hell in Minecraft, for those who have a diamond pickaxe and those who do not. In the first case, everything is simple, you just need to get obsidian, lay out a portal from it and set it on fire with flint. The other option is more complex, but allows you to save diamonds for other needs. You can make obsidian yourself, placing the stones in such a way as to form a shape for the portal. Pour water into it, and then seal everything with lava. After that, destroy the mold and you can set it on fire.

The main task of parallel worlds (particularly in paradise) in Minecraft is, first of all, to diversify the gameplay. You find yourself completely new location with different enemies, resources and a completely different atmosphere. You can collect and craft completely unique things. Fight bosses and get the opportunity to combine everything that was before with new details that are added in abundance by new mods.

Might be out soon new version Minecraft games, which will attract the attention of the most inveterate skeptics. But for now, this game is for those who have enough patience and imagination, as well as an excess of free time.
