Chinese stealth armor, or, in other words, “black ghost”, appears in three games at once: in the addition to Fallout 3 Operation: Anchorage, in Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4. It is light camouflage armor used by the elite of the Chinese army during the invasion of Alaska. One of the best inventions of Chinese scientists of the late 21st century. Based on the Chinese stealth armor in Fallout, the Americans created a stealth battle.

Appearance of Chinese stealth armor

In the Mojave Wasteland, with the help of this kit, Chinese sabotage groups tried to infiltrate the secret SC1 research laboratory, which was engaged in growing mutants, and undermine it with bombs. But the plan was not destined to come true, since one of the bombs exploded ahead of time and put the entire laboratory on edge. Almost all the saboteurs were captured or killed.

Appearance The kit is quite unusual. It is somewhat reminiscent of the alien costumes from the pictures. In Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas set black. It consists of a jumpsuit that completely fits the body and a closed helmet-mask with a viewing hole. The hole is covered with bright orange glass. There are iron blocks connected by wires on the chest and back. Presumably, due to these elements, the suit can generate a stealth field. In New Vegas, the women's jumpsuit also has a red star on the neck. The male version lacks this luxury.

The suit is equipped with a cool camouflage system for stealth combat. One of the main properties and advantages is that Chinese stealth is easily made invisible when activating the stealth mode (crouch), which helps to easily defeat monsters of any size and shape.

Chinese stealth armor is not found in the original Fallout 4. In order for it to appear, you need to install the modification. Her armored suit is still the same black, but with dark brown inserts. A star appears on the chest of the overalls. The “Chinese stealth” itself changes very slightly in appearance. It can be modified as desired, as it has a huge number of upgrade options. All you have to do is get to the nearest workbench.

Features of Chinese stealth armor

The main property of Chinese stealth armor is camouflage. Stealth mode is ideal for those who do not like to be seen - thieves, snipers, scouts. It turns on when the character crouches, that is, enters stealth mode (standard). In Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, invisibility disappears when the character begins to move in full height. It is designed only for immobility or sneaking.

But in Fallout 4, you can install upgrades on the downloaded kit, with the help of which the protagonist will be able to move, but not lose invisibility. IN different versions Chinese stealth armor games have various characteristics.


Fallout 3 Operation Anchorage:

  • damage resistance – 28;

Fallout 4. As already mentioned, in original game there is no jumpsuit with a stealth field. But with the help of modifications, you can install and greatly upgrade the version of the stealth suit from Fallout 3. This can be done, for example, using a mod called “Chinese Stealth Suit”.

In the modification, the “invisibility suit” becomes a powerful armor with a large number of possible upgrades that allow you to fight and become truly invisible to enemies. In effect, the Survivor becomes a first-class ninja saboteur. The standard equipment requires improvements. After which upgrades can seriously improve its performance. You can set an increase in running speed, jump height, aiming accuracy, configure the built-in stealth field generators to work correctly, and so on.

Where to find Chinese stealth armor

In Fallout 3, armor can be found when completing the "Operation Anchorage" quest from the corresponding add-on. The required suit will be in the bunker next to the T-51b winter power armor. You need to go straight along the corridor - at the end on the right there will be a terminal that opens the lock. Next, the entrance to the storage facility will open, where the stealth armor will be located.

IN Fallout game New Vegas has only two pieces of stealth armor. And both of them are on the Hoover Dam. Specifically, you need to look at the office level in the radioactive waste storage facility. Both overalls are easy to find in the drawer to the left of the entrance. But they can only be obtained by stealing, which will automatically reduce the Courier’s karma.

Well, now more about modifications and plugins.

First plugin modification ChStArmCanon.esp

This modification corresponds to the Chinese stealth armor from DLC Operation: Anchorage, Fallout 3, except perhaps for those moments that when worn to 75% (i.e. 25% of the strength of 100% - for those who do not understand), the armor ceases to provide stealth effects and stealth i.e. breaks (well, what did you want China), as well as Stealth: +15, unlike Fallout 3, is added only in stealth mode.

And yes, now you can repair not only with reconnaissance armor, but also with stealth combat... IMHO it’s logical, because the technology is the same

Second modification plugins:
ChineseStealthArmor.esp (for FalloutNV without mods that change the night to a brighter or darker one) and ChineseStealthArmorNSDN.esp (for FalloutNV with mod [b]NevadaSkies - Darker Nights
which makes the nights darker)

The second modification has the following properties:

1) NVD (Night Vision Device) is installed
The NVG is activated by holding the TAB key instead of the Pip-Boy flashlight, i.e. when you hold TAB, the NVD will be turned on/off, but there will be no light from the Pip-Boy flashlight. I think it's logical. However, visually, I left a backlight on the Pip-Boy glove itself, so that the player could see when the NVG is on and when it is off.

2) "Chinese stealth armor" gives +100 units. stealth, +100 units. stealth fields and 100 units. NVGs, ONLY in “stealth” mode, i.e. if the player is either crouched or moves crouched.

3) When worn out by 50% or more, the NVG stops working, and when worn by 75% or more (i.e. 25% of 100% strength), the armor stops providing stealth and stealth effects

4) Repair of "Chinese stealth armor" can be done, as in the original game, with "reconnaissance armor", and also now with "stealth combat"

Why is this so?
Well, I thought that if the “Courier” did find this armor and repair it, then perhaps he could use the components of a more technically advanced Stealth Boy and improve the armor. Moreover, the Stealth Boy technology is a further development of the camouflage technology of the “Chinese Stealth Armor”. And also add NVGs from “Police Armor” or “Protective Suit” (although I think that the Chinese themselves could have added NVGs, given their penchant for “all in 1”, and compared to a medical suit, this addition is a trifle)
Based on this, I made the stealth parameter identical to Stealth Boy, i.e. equal to "100 units." and increased the stealth field by 25 units. those. made 100 units. instead of 75 Stealth Boy, looking back at the fact that all effects stop working when you exit stealth mode.

Unpack the ChineseStealthArmor.zip archive and files:

1) Do not connect all plugins at the same time, because... they act on the same object

POSSIBLE BUG
If you put on Chinese stealth armor while the Pip-Boy's backlight is on, then the light from the Pip-Boy will continue to shine (albeit not so brightly...almost not noticeably) constantly and it will not be possible to turn it off.

Turn off the Pip-Boy's flashlight, save and restart the game (i.e. close the game completely and then start it again)

If you noticed, the kit adds three very important Slecial parameters: Dexterity, perception, endurance.
This will allow you, through intensive training, to add to the less important but interesting ones: Luck, charisma, strength, barter...
In other words, to have fun in the game is not at the end of the game, but from the very beginning. :)




Installation method: Drop the StelchPrizrakBronj.esp file into the game Data pack -> Check the box in the launcher or using the FOOM application. I advise you to install Foom if you haven’t already, it not only activates plugins, but also allows you to find out the id of the plugin in the game so you can get the kit through the console using a cheat code

After installation, the kit can be found in Megaton's empty house, on the second floor in front of the room with the bed, which will be yours after defusing the bomb.
If Megaton has already been blown up or there is no desire to defuse the bomb, then the kit can be obtained with a cheat code in the console (e) with the command;

Instead of asterisks (**), you need to put a two-digit value (plugin id), you can look at it before starting the game

Attention!!! The plugin contains a stealth field script. Before installing the plugin and using the stealth armor kit, Necessarily make a save in the game and remember this place and time.
You will need this in case you want to disable the mod and the script gets stuck.

Proper removal of the plugin:

1. In the game, change the set to other clothes, preferably with effects, for example Shelter Armor. so that the effect of stealth armor disappears in the pip-boy, on the first button of the effects menu.
2. Remove the kit from the backpack. (throw away, sell)
3. Save if the stealth effect has definitely disappeared in the pip-boy status.
4. Exit the game and delete the plugin from the Data folder.
5. Do not load saves with points when you used this kit. (The script itself is written in the master file Anchorage.esm. And savedata saves a link to this script at the time the save is launched, sticking occurs)
6. If sticking still happens (you are always invisible in any armor or without it) and this bothers you, then load the game saved before installation as suggested.
