The coolest graphics. Games with beautiful graphics on PC

There are many compelling arguments in favor game consoles, but when it comes to graphics quality, the PC instantly takes the lead. So, even on the new PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Most games only run at 900p and 720p respectively. Whereas even a mid-priced PC can run games at 1080p or even 1440p, and top-end PCs can run games at 4K. Don’t forget about additional graphics technologies that are only available on PCs: improved anti-aliasing, natural light simulation, fine particle physics, etc.

Released in 2007, the first part of Crysis was clearly made with a reserve for the future - at that time there was simply no PC capable of providing smooth gameplay on maximum settings graphics. The third part of Crysis also turned out to be a reference: at least as realistic grass (each blade of grass lives its own life) is not found in any other modern game.

Metro: Last Light Redux

Post-apocalyptic shooter Metro: Last Light initially set the bar for graphics quality extremely high – leather jackets look especially realistic. By the way, we regularly use the built-in Last Light benchmark in our reviews to test processors and video cards. But the developers 4A Games went even further and released a re-release of Redux, including both parts of Metro, with improved graphics.

TES V: Skyrim (+Mods)

The original fantasy was incredibly beautiful, but certainly not high-tech role play TES V: Skyrim. Fortunately, folk craftsmen got down to business and soon released a set of improved textures. Almost everything was redrawn: the faces of the characters, chain mail, swords, animals and dragons, and, of course, the main attraction of the Skyrim region - nature.

The car simulator Spintires is notable not so much for its graphics, although they are very decent, but for its ultra-realistic physics, for which the Havok engine is responsible. The game offers you to drive jeeps and trucks over rough terrain. There is a high risk of getting stuck in mud or sand.

It’s one thing to make beautiful graphics in a single-player corridor game, and quite another thing in a multiplayer game with spacious maps. Moreover, an online shooter simply has to run at 60 FPS. The main innovation of Battlefield 4 was the Levolution technology, which changes the map beyond recognition directly during a multiplayer match. A falling skyscraper, a collapsing dam, an ocean storm and a sandstorm - this is not a complete list of the graphical beauties of Battlefield 4.

Rise: Son of Rome

Ryse: Son of Rome is another “monstrous” game from Crytek, the authors of the Crysis trilogy. This time the theme of the near future was replaced by the distant past - the era of the Roman Empire. The levels in Ryse are much less spacious compared to Crysis 3, and the game itself has become, in fact, a “movie”, but quite dynamic and, most importantly, very beautiful.

For me personally, Dying Light became the main pleasant surprise among the games of the first quarter of 2015. Not only is its gameplay and atmosphere completely different from its predecessors (Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide), but also the quality of the graphics has improved dramatically new level. Moreover, Dying Light is beautiful in different ways during the day and at night.

The final version of the Project CARS car racing simulator has not yet been released, but the graphics of even the beta version are impressive. If the nature around the racing tracks is drawn well, but nothing more, then the surface of the tracks and, especially, the cars look superb. Perhaps this is the first and so far the only computer game, which, albeit with a stretch, can still be called photorealistic.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The third part of The Witcher is another game in our ranking of the most beautiful that has been postponed several times and has not yet been released. It’s probably impossible to call it realistic – its color scheme is very unnaturally variegated. But the work of the artists and the graphic technologies used in the costumes of Geralt and his companions, as well as the world around them, are impressive.

Unreal Paris is not a computer game, but just a small demo scene on a brand new engine Unreal Engine 4. But, damn it, it has the most real photorealistic graphics! The demo features a stylishly furnished apartment in Paris that you can wander around. The wood textures and fabrics on the furniture look amazing. And, best of all, Unreal Paris has a very natural color scheme without the blue and orange filters that are now fashionable in cinema and game development.

Hi all. For you, I have selected the top 16 most beautiful games on PC, with beautiful and atmospheric graphics and an amazing world.

Bioshock series

Release date: 2007-2013

The Bioshock games are sci-fi first-person shooters with RPG elements. The series is the spiritual successor to System Shock and draws many gameplay elements from there, but is not connected to it plot-wise. All three parts of Bioshock were created on the improved Unreal Engine 3, which even by today's standards (and the first part of the series was released almost 10 years ago) produces very solid graphics. The main difference between all games is the atmosphere. In the first two parts we explore underwater world. Infinite flying city

Gameplay in all parts of Bioshock, it is strongly “involved” in the use of so-called “Plasmids”, with the help of which the hero can obtain certain superpowers (telekinesis, electric shock, etc.). There are also RPG-like improvements to both the character's abilities and his weapons. In terms of graphics, all parts of the game look very beautiful, and not least of all, the unique style of the surrounding world plays a role here.

Crysis series

Release date: 2007-2013

Genre: first person shooter

Sci-fi first-person shooters with incredibly beautiful graphics, in which the main characters in special exosuits fight both people and aliens. All parts of the series are made in the style of the so-called “Sandbox”, when the player can choose where to go or who to attack. Moreover, the plot here is completely linear.

The very first Crysis actually made a revolution in graphics (in order for the game to run at maximum speed, very powerful hardware with Windows Vista installed on it was required), while the third part, in which the developers used their new engine CryEngine 3 looks even more luxurious and easily displays the most modern graphic effects on the screen.

Dear Esther

Release date: 2012

Game only for PlayStation 3 and 4 platforms

Some of us- Incredibly beautiful and atmospheric game, made in the action-adventure genre with elements of stealth and survival horror. According to the plot, the cordyceps fungus has dangerously mutated and infected most of humanity, turning it into some kind of zombie. In the center of the story is the smuggler Joel and the girl Ellie, who must cross the continent, constantly encountering both victims of the epidemic and equally dangerous looters, bandits, cannibals, etc.

The game is characterized by high complexity and a shortage of ammunition, traditional for the survival horror genre. Often it is generally better to avoid meeting enemies than to go ahead. The project received a lot of positive reviews, and most recently an upcoming sequel was announced. The largest resources and publications put maximum marks game. Most critics agreed that projects of this level are released very, very rarely, which means that it is definitely worth playing.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Release date: 2014

Games of the quest genre today do not enjoy the popularity that they had before, however, even now they include decent, atmospheric and incredibly beautiful projects. Such projects include The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, the plot of which tells about the adventures of a private detective with mystical powers who goes in search of a missing boy.

Our protagonist’s investigation leads him to a town called “Red Brook Valley,” where some kind of devilry is going on. Actually, this is what you have to figure out. The game boasts very beautiful graphics and a completely open world in which (with rare artificial restrictions) you can travel. The game does not lead you by the hand, but invites you to explore the world on your own and solve the puzzles that arise. Inspect crime scenes, create a chronology of events and finally figure out what is happening in this small remote town.

Never Alone

Release date: 2014

An incredibly stylish and atmospheric indie game, made in the genre of a puzzle platformer and designed for both one and two players. The game features two characters - a girl and an arctic fox, between whom you can switch at any time. Together, the heroes overcome obstacles and solve puzzles, with each character having their own unique abilities and skills.

Get ready to visit dangerous locations in the Arctic - from the tundra to the mysterious forest. Meet blizzards, stormy winds and deceptive mountains, as well as representatives of Inupiat folklore: the Murderer, little people, helping spirits, etc. You can complete the game either by yourself or in the company of a second player, even if you started independent passage, a second player can join you at any time.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Release date: 2015

Another game in the series Tomb Raider, in which the main character travels to Siberia, where she will have to fight members of the secret Trinity order, as well as various wild animals, and find a valuable artifact. In terms of gameplay, the game copies the previous part of the series, but the technical component has been significantly improved (for example, the animation has been redesigned, becoming even smoother and more realistic).

In addition to acrobatics and battles, the game contains many puzzles that vary in difficulty. In addition, there are elements of survival here, in particular, Lara will constantly have to obtain various resources for herself and create new equipment. Many puzzles are multi-step, often based on the use of physics. Some of the puzzles exactly copy tasks from previous parts (a kind of tribute to classic games Tomb Raider).

Ori and the Blind Forest

Release date: 2015

An incredibly colorful indie platformer released on the free Unity engine. The player takes control of Ori, a fabulous snow-white creature that resembles a cross between a fox, a squirrel and a wild cat. You can also play as Sein, a protective spirit who constantly revolves around Ori. And if Ori initially only knows how to jump (and later learn to climb walls, soar in the air and dive under water), then Sein is able to attack enemies with the help of so-called “Spiritual Flame Charges”.

Game locations are various parts of the forest in which the player can go wherever he wants. However, if a certain area has not yet been opened, the player will not be able to get there. Interestingly, there is no training or tutorial in the game, so you will have to figure everything out on your own (when Ori finds Sein, you can get some tips from him).

Just Cause 3

Release date: 2015

An excellent third-person action game with excellent graphics and a completely open world in which the player controls Rico Rodriguez, an agent who must confront the dictator General Sebastiano di Ravello. In fact, the game uses all the successful gameplay developments from previous parts, significantly improving their mechanics and implementation. Creating chaos on a fictional island has become much more interesting and fun.

In fact, many critics gave this project high marks for its wide possibilities for creating chaos. Among the negative aspects, poor optimization and a number of technical problems, which, however, were fixed by patches. It is also worth noting the destructibility of objects. The main character can not only destroy people and equipment and houses, but also, for example, bridges or statues.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Release date: 2015

An exciting action game with excellent graphics and a completely open world. The game tells about the events that took place in the Stone Age, and main character- a prehistoric hunter named Takkar, whose tribe was destroyed. Now our protagonist travels through the country of Urus, hoping to avenge his people and find a new home.

The game lacks the usual weapons and vehicles. Since the game takes place in prehistoric times, we will have access to spears, clubs, bows, etc., which we also need to craft ourselves, using available materials for this. There is also the possibility of taming wild animals, which can both attack the enemy and play the role of a scout. It is also worth noting that all dialogues are written in a primitive language, which can only be understood with the help of subtitles. This is done to make players more immersed in what is happening on the screen.

Quantum Break

Release date: 2016

Genre: third person shooter,

An original first-person shooter, the gameplay of which involves time manipulation. According to the plot, an experiment with time was conducted at the fictional American university Riverport, which ended extremely unsuccessfully. As a result, the main characters of the game discovered superpowers (for example, our main protagonist Jack Johnson learned to stop time).

The developers approached the plot, and especially time travel, as responsibly as possible, hiring a consultant from CERN who explained to them some aspects of classical and quantum physics. In general, the project was received very warmly. The game has excellent graphics, and everything that happens on the screen is very cinematic.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Release date: 2016

Genre: first person shooter,

A first-person cyberpunk action game with elements of role-playing and stealth, which is a continuation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution(after the events original game two years have passed). In general, the game uses all the same mechanics as in the previous part, and the real changes affected only the combat system, in which an automatically replenished energy scale now appeared (previously, energy reserves had to be found).

In general Mankind Divided– this is a kind of “work on the mistakes” made in the last part of the game. So, for example, if in Human Revolution bosses could only be killed, then in this part it became possible to pass them undetected. Graphically the game looks very bright. The palette is dominated by black and gold colors. The environment is very elaborate and detailed.

Watch Dogs 2

Release date: 2016

Genre: stealth action, open world

Action-adventure game with cutting-edge graphics and completely open game world, which chronicles hacking and hacking activity in San Francisco. According to the plot, the main character Marcus Holloway, who arrived in San Francisco, teams up with like-minded people from the DedSec group to confront greedy corporations and their puppets in high-ranking positions.

Unlike the previous part, the game contains many gameplay innovations. For example, the hacking system was updated, new high-tech gadgets appeared, and parkour was significantly improved. The project turned out to be head and shoulders above its predecessor, largely thanks to the impressive work on bugs. Many publications that have published Watch Dogs high marks, noted that this is exactly what the first part should have been.

Beautiful online games

Black Desert

Release date: 2014

Genre: MMORPG, open world, beautiful graphics

A high-quality MMORPG with incredibly beautiful graphics, as well as full implementation of changing the time of day, dynamic weather (not tied to a specific location) and many other features. The game world is large and seamless, and its design is made in the spirit of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. There are many races and classes here, and leveling up characters is not limited in any way. Those. literally not in the game maximum level character!

PLAY

The combat system here requires special attention. In particular, it does not use auto-select an enemy; in addition, players must independently dodge enemy attacks or press the key responsible for blocking damage. In general, most of the skills are tied to keyboard keys, so in battles it is often the player’s skill that decides, not his leveling up.

Royal Quest

Release date: 2012

MMORPG game from the creators of " Space Rangers" and "Legends of the Knight" are distinguished by exciting gameplay and pleasant (if not the most technically advanced) animated graphics. The events of the game take place in a world where magic, technology and alchemy are closely intertwined, but this world is in danger and only we can save it!

PLAY

The game has four starting classes, quite deep customization appearance character, as well as the ability to choose one of two specializations for your class at later levels of the game. The gameplay here is based on completing quests, killing monsters, exploring dungeons and other activities traditional for the genre. However, despite some secondary nature, the game is capable of captivating, especially since the developer’s signature humor is present here in abundance.

Blade and Soul

Release date: 2013

Genre: MMORPG

A fantasy massively multiplayer role-playing game with nice graphics and traditional features for the genre. The game has four races, 10 classes, many quests, crafting, resource extraction and other activities. The developers placed the main emphasis on the e-sports component, which is developed here at the proper level. At the same time, battles between players do not take place “crowd against crowd” but in 3 on 3 and 1 on 1 formats.

PLAY

It is interesting that initially the project received mixed reviews from critics, who noted that its graphics were not the best and were somewhat secondary (i.e. the game could not surprise players with anything), however, the developers refined the engine, improved the graphics and relied on PvP battles for very real and quite good cash prizes. Needless to say, the game instantly took off and even now there is a lot of activity on the project’s servers!

I would like to address the readers. What other ones do you think there are? beautiful games for PC? Write in the comments. It will be interesting to know what I missed.

Graphics are not the most important thing. In general, the expression is correct, but there is something subtly hypocritical in it, approximately like in the statement “In a girl, one must first of all value intelligence.” Let's be honest: the visual aspect is extremely important, even if you are not a graphic designer..., in general, a convinced graphics connoisseur. In this material, Gmbox invites you to remember 10 iconic games that literally killed with their unparalleled visuals, and here you will find both cult classics and fresh hits.

10. Duke Nukem 3D

Before Duke, all 3D shooters shoved the protagonist into some closed space - be it a laboratory on a distant planet and hell (Doom), or medieval catacombs (Heretic, Hexen). Duke Nukem 3D was the first to create a very believable - for those times! - a modern metropolis. Shops, cinemas, skyscrapers, strippers that could be sprinkled with bucks, toilets that could be broken with your feet - Duke offered a rich selection of possibilities in perfect visual execution. You could even “break” the stripper with your foot - it’s a pity that the option of sprinkling dollars on the toilet was not provided...

9.Quake

But Duke Nukem 3D had one glaring drawback: sprite-based enemies. When colliding at one level, they still looked tolerable, but when viewed from the top shelf, the model terribly tilted back. Oldfags clearly remember this shameful farce. But compared to its background, Quake was a real revelation: for the first time in the history of game development - completely three-dimensional mobs made of flesh and blood, and not some robots! Accordingly, the dismemberment in honest 3D became a real work of art: a direct hit from a grenade launcher on an ogre with a chainsaw would not be a shame to write to Vereshchagin himself.

8. Crisis

I remember this moment very well in 2007: one friend bought a powerful PC for working with sound, and he didn’t skimp on the video card. Yes, “work with sound” was going on, but in free time the mini-tower was loaded with Crysis. Having seen the gameplay for the first time, I was sure for about a minute and a half that this was a pre-rendered video, until the revelation hit me like thunder: the keyboard/mouse manipulations coincided with what was happening on the screen! I am sure that everyone has their own (no less reverent) story of acquaintance with Crysis, and no one will argue: in the modern (post-2000s) history of game development, this is the most important breakthrough in terms of graphics quality.

7. Grand Theft Auto IV

The immortal GTA III could also be at this point: after all, the transition from 2D to 3D is an invaluable achievement. However, this is still GTA IV. In the third part, despite all its achievements, there were rather primitive graphics - something from the category of early cubism. It seemed like the developers simply moved the camera behind the back without changing anything aesthetically since the 2nd part. At the same time Grand Theft Auto IV was the first in the history of the gaming industry to create an absolutely believable metropolis - one that Duke Nukem could only dream of.

6. Arma 3

Want to know the main indicator of the highest quality graphics of this Czech franchise? When various TV channels (regardless of the country) urgently need to find a picture of modern military operations, this picture, as a rule, turns out to be a screenshot from Arma 3. Already 5 years have passed, but this hyper-realistic military simulator (it’s hard to call Arma with the banal word “shooter”) Still not everyone can use ultra graphics settings. There’s no point in talking about porting to consoles: of course, Arma is not there. They won't pull it.

5. The Witcher 3

There are memes about a couple of independent slavs - “several independent Slavs.” The memes, let me emphasize right away, are flattering, not offensive. Some mind-blowing screenshot from the third “The Witcher” is taken, and next to it is placed a mediocre picture, say, from Mass Effect: Andromeda. The inscription says that the first is from a couple of independent Slavs, and the second is from a huge studio with a fantastic budget. Of course, by the time work on the third part began, CD Projekt had grown four times, but this is still not on the scale of the Activision - EA - Ubisoft trio. So the graphics in the third “The Witcher” are, in any case, a feat of the Poles.

4. Forza Horizon 3

It would seem that making good graphics in a racing simulator could not be easier: ideally balance the number of objects along the ring so that everything is beautiful and does not slow down, and voila! Everything is ready. But what if there is no trace of a “ring”? If every wrong turn leads you to jungles, sandy beaches, waterfalls, suburbs and big cities? The creators of Forza Horizon 3 achieved their goal: the world is completely seamless, gigantic and at the same time incredibly beautiful. We take off our hats, like Nikita Sergeevich.

3. Far Cry 5

This Ubisoft franchise has always amazed us with its graphic quality. It’s not for nothing that they bought it from the legendary Crytek (Crysis): the Dunia engine on which Far Cry is compiled is probably a modification of the German engine. By the fifth part, Dunya blossomed in an incredible way: on good technology with a 4K display, you will think that you really are in the American outback. Squint your eyes. Now squint a little more. This is almost photorealism. At least in 5-6 years, Ubisoft will definitely achieve it. In the meantime, let's enjoy the reflection of the sky in the 4K lakes of Montana.

2. The Last of Us (original on PS3)

Just one question: how? How was it possible to squeeze such a picture out of an antediluvian PS3, since its maximum resolution is only 720p? However, Naughty Dog was able to do it. HD (not even Full HD!) the picture never disintegrated into squares and did not look like a shameful soap. On the contrary, it was a real visual masterpiece. Apparently, in that distant era there was no need to pay close attention to same-sex love, so the developers concentrated on optimization and image quality. The original The Last of Us became the real swan song of the PlayStation 3, after which it was no longer a pity to send the frankly outdated box to the mezzanine.

1. Horizon: Zero Dawn

Naughty Dog spent their entire lives honing their skills on Uncharted, but then the Guerilla guerrillas appeared out of nowhere. They, in turn, devoted their entire career to the dark industrial shooter Killzone. And then comes the surprise of Horizon, with its four climate zones and breathtaking landscapes. Nature, which had long ago conquered the remains of the former greatness of humanity, looked incomparable, and the mechanical dinosaurs (especially the larger ones) amazed the imagination. It's a shame that a sequel hasn't been announced yet, but it definitely needs to happen. Horizon can't be one game - it's more like a three-part franchise.

I'm sure many will say that choosing games with best graphics easier than, for example, games with best story or with the most unpredictable ending. In the end, . But it's not that simple. Some things are really easy to evaluate - the quality of lighting, the realistic display of various materials (that is, does the metal body of the car look plastic) - everything is clear here.

But it happens that the engine is great, but the designers screwed up a little, and then we see not the best animations, primitive and monotonous landscapes, and so on. But it also happens differently - not the most powerful engine (hello Skyrim), but thanks to the efforts of the developers, everything and even more has been squeezed out of it. What is this all I'm leading to? Even a TOP 10 like this can be a little (just a little) subjective, because different people can evaluate game graphics differently.

Another thing you should remember is that the games that are rated here are those that have already been released at the moment - that is, up to January 2016. Therefore, projects such as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided And Dishonored 2(and others due out during 2016) will not be mentioned. And now that all the i's have been dotted, let's move on to our review.

10. Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain

Last Metal Gear (really the last one, because Hideo Kojima left, but the plot ended) amazes not only with its plot and gameplay. There are also excellent graphics here. Magnificent landscapes of the jungle and deserts, conversations with partners, excellent visual implementation of all game moments (for example, kidnapping pets using miniature balloons). Weather effects and changes in time of day are commonplace here. You can specially start landing in the evening, in order to admire the sunset, you can enjoy watching the explosion you created. It's not about shaders and pixels (although the engine is really good), the whole point is in the very atmosphere that the game's graphics create. And it deserves as much praise as the plot.

9. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

A great depiction of a dystopian future. The smoke and explosions look great, the cityscapes are pleasing to the eye, and the characters don't look like plastic bobbleheads. The levels are varied, some are gloomy, others are a typical theater of war, and others... well, this is something strange, but, nevertheless, very beautiful. And if we remember the characters again, the facial animation is very well done. Here you can immediately see emotions, you don’t have to guess them, here you believe the actors, and this is worth a lot. In general, the game can be praised for its graphics. It’s just a pity that the plot let us down – but that’s a completely different story.

8. Project CARS

The graphics in this racing simulator are excellent. Every detail of your car is worked out, shiny surfaces don't look like varnished plastic, and weather effects not only affect the gameplay, but are also simply beautiful. And most importantly, when you’re rushing through the rain (the weather here changes in real time), or towards the sunset, don’t forget to breathe, because everything is so beautiful that it’s simply breathtaking. Yes, the game has some arcade feel, and in some places the gameplay is not the most sophisticated - but a lot can be forgiven for such graphics.

7. Batman: Arkham knight

A story about a famous Dark Knight It's not so much the level of special effects as it is the sophisticated design. No, we don’t have any special complaints about the engine - rain looks like rain, wet surfaces shine, everything explodes as expected - but that’s not the whole point. The most important thing is the elaboration of the city landscapes. Not the cardboard props of many shooters, but a real city with real, living people. Here you believe that this is an office building with many workers, “blue” and “white” collars, and this is a classic residential area. There is no falsehood, and therefore you understand much better and faster who you came to protect. In general, this is the same case when the designers squeezed everything that was possible out of the engine.

6. Witcher 3

Someone may be indignant about how he got here The Witcher 3. Yes, there was a situation that the developers themselves admitted - for the release version they somewhat reduced the quality of the graphics, because in the form in which the game was originally, no console would have supported it. But, firstly, many patches have been released to correct this problem. And secondly, the game should be praised, first of all, for the work of the designers, in particular for the way the nature is made here. Glares of light on the water, trees swaying in the wind, dust raised by the wind. Here the nature is not just realistic - here you believe that this is that very reality. Therefore, the game definitely deserves praise for the picture on the monitor.

5. Star Wars: Battlefront

In this game, the bet was made on nostalgic fans of the famous saga, who will not tolerate falsehood, and who need that very picture from that very film. Landscapes are easily recognizable and look literally photorealistic. Without any clue, we can say that this is Endor with its tall forests, and these are the deserts and canyons of Tatooine. And what kind of space is there and what kind of battles... Everything looks just great even on consoles, not to mention PC. Despite the fact that the game is not as dynamic as many other shooters, you can calmly enjoy all these beauties. In general, if you want to look at familiar landscapes up close, welcome to the front line.

4. Rise of the Tomb Rider

The same one. In the new part, the graphics clearly did not disappoint. Animal tracks in the snow, which can be used to track prey (by the way, this applies not only to animals). A camera that tries to show us all the delights of local landscapes. And Lara herself, who is always nice to look at. Speaking of landscapes, sometimes you just want to admire nature, and the game even encourages us to do this, giving us short breaks. What else is interesting about the picture - everything here is not only beautiful, everything here is also logical. These are not paper models, these are real houses, cars, trees and mountains. And here's another thing... When Lara does her acrobatic tricks, try not to stare too much, yeah?

3. Bloodborne

A strange situation with this game - magnificent dark landscapes, classic gothic as it is, well-made opponents, sometimes striking with their terrifying grandeur, sometimes causing genuine disgust - and no opportunity to admire it all. As soon as you gape, your head is torn off, just like in classic Gothic works. As a result, you never stop noticing all the beauties, no – they just put you in the right mood. You don’t expect anything good here, and you quickly realize that these abandoned ruins were abandoned for a reason, and the blood on the walls is not decoration, but the remains of unlucky visitors. The picture perfectly complements the plot and gameplay, and does not stand alone, and this is pleasing.

2. Order: 1886

If you try to briefly describe this game, the following definition comes to mind - gothic interactive cinema. And, as in any movie, the picture is very important here. The detail and elaboration of the surrounding world is simply shocking. The first moments you just sit slack-jawed in front of the screen and admire the details of the environment. Everything has been worked out, even the smallest objects, and we can see them all up close. Then, when you break away from this activity a little, the landscapes begin - and then again you fall into prostration for a short time. And then the movie (in the sense of action with shootouts) begins, which delivers the “finishing blow”. Yes, the game is short, but its graphics are simply amazing.

1. Dying Light

One could say that this is just a game about zombies with everything that goes along with it, but fans might inadvertently beat you up for this. And they will be right, by the way. In addition to the fact that the gameplay and plot are not entirely typical (In terms of gameplay, it’s a very good survival game, and in terms of the plot... in general, I won’t spoil it here, it’s better to see for yourself), the game also has excellent graphics. The characters behave as if they were alive, their movements do not look wooden, and emotions can be guessed without words. A quick glance, a fleeting smile or a grimace of disgust - all this and much more simply fits into the phrase “facial animation”. But all the delights of the graphics don’t end with the characters. The cityscapes are impressive. When you look at the city from the rooftops, it is simply breathtaking. And when you walk around the apartments, it becomes really scary. Neat furniture, beautiful cheerfully colored wallpaper – and splashes of blood with swirling flies. We have already seen all this, but it was in Dying Light it really gets under your skin. In general, the game has such excellent graphics and design work that only the highest score can be given for it.

Have you bought an expensive new video card for your computer and want to give it a real test? We have prepared for you a list of games with the most realistic and stunning graphics. Well, are you ready? Then let's go!

10. Witcher 3: Wild Hint

Our rating opens Witcher 3: Wild Hint. The third installment in the franchise about the white-haired witcher Geralt is excellent in every way. And the game's graphics are no exception. Even a quick glance is enough to confirm this.

The Witcher 3 amazes with its beautiful, picturesque landscapes. Spacious forests, endless fields and majestic mountains will not leave even the most experienced gamer indifferent. Medieval cities are highly detailed and realistic. Traveling in Witcher 3 is a pleasure.

If you have long wanted to try an RPG with beautiful realistic graphics, then the third part of The Witcher is what you need.

9. Crysis 3

Original part Crysis has been practically a standard in the industry for many years realistic graphics. Even now, the shooter can give modern video cards a good test.

Let Crysis 3 and did not gain the same laurels as the first part of the franchise, but the sequel still inherited excellent graphics from its predecessor, and therefore simply must be on our list.

8. Just Cause 3

On the eighth line of our rating is Just Cause 3 . Of course, the game has competitors with more beautiful pictures. But rarely can you see the same concentrated dose of madness as in Just Cause 3. Explosions, driving high-speed cars, jumping in a wing suit and... more explosions.

6. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

The only thing I have no complaints about is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, this is graphics. She's really great here. Of course, the level design may seem somewhat outdated, and the plot may seem primitive and boring. But the visual design of the game, without a doubt, deserves attention.

If form is more important to you than substance, then Deus Ex: Mankind Divided may well appeal to you.

5. Dishonored 2

In fifth place on our list is a stealth action game Dishonored 2. Although the game was criticized after its release due to its bugs and shortcomings, nevertheless, it is a true masterpiece.

The plot of Dishonored 2 may be a little inferior to the first part, but the level design is so excellent that even Deus Ex: Mankind Divided looks archaic in comparison.

Of course, our rating would be incomplete without the fifth part GTA. The developers focused primarily on the latest generation consoles, but Grand Theft Auto 5 was able to become one of best games for PC. And not the least reason for this was the amazing graphics. 3. Project CARS

Project CARS differs from the rest of our list in that it is more of a simulation than a regular game.

2. Fallout 4

Graphics Fallout 4 cannot definitely be called the most beautiful in the industry. Of course, it is better than the previous parts of the series.

You can have different attitudes to the game's picture. But it should be noted that developer Bethesda made a texture pack for Fallout 4 with high resolution, which will give a good test to your video card and processor. Good luck to you!
