Rules

Rules for the expansion “Bang! The Magnificent Eight" follows the rules of the game "Bang", but something new appears.

First, in “Bang! Magnificent Eight” cards appear with a green border, which are called delayed action cards. They are placed in front of the players front side up, as well as cards with a blue border, but in this case their effects are applied only when discarded. However, it cannot be discarded on the same turn in which it was played. They also have symbols for her effect. Only cards with the “Miss” effect can be played outside of your turn. These green-bordered cards can be discarded by other players if they play “Pretty Woman,” “Panic!”, “Can-Can,” etc. Moreover, if you took a card with a green frame into your hand by playing “Panic!” or “Ragtime”, it cannot be used in the same turn.

Also in the game “Bang! Magnificent Eight” a new symbol has appeared, followed by
equal sign and other symbols. For the effects to work,
specified after the equals sign, you must reset this
card along with any other card from your hand.

If you are playing in eight, then the current role cards replace the roles from the base version of the game. Moreover, here each renegade plays for himself, and wins only if he remains the only survivor. So if the sheriff died, then the bandits win.

When using the “Bang! The Magnificent Eight” for a three-player game the following rules apply - take three roles - assistant, bandit and renegade. Each player gets a role, and the cards in this game model are revealed. If you play the role of an assistant, then the goal is to kill the renegade. If the role of the renegade is to kill the bandit. If the role of a bandit is to kill an assistant. Everything else follows the rules from the regular version of “Bang!” The assistant goes first. In this case, you will win if you make a real hit on the enemy. If the control shot was fired by other players at your target, then the party goes into a duel. For example, if a bandit shoots a renegade, it is too early for the assistant to celebrate his victory. Now the bandit must kill the assistant, and the assistant must kill the bandit.

The board game "Bang" is a card game that will easily take you into a classic spaghetti western, with saloons, Indians and the obligatory shootouts!

How can the Sheriff survive?

Each player will take on one of the main roles (given at random), which will determine their goal in the game, as well as tactics and abilities.

There are four different roles in the game. This is the Sheriff, who will have to recognize and kill all the criminals, as well as the traitor at the same time. The Deputy Sheriff will have to protect the Sheriff at all costs - they have the same goal. The criminals should shoot the Sheriff and not shoot each other. And the Traitor is on his own - the main thing for him is to stay alive after the impending mess!

What creates intrigue and tension is that the player's role is kept secret, with the exception of the role of the Sheriff - everyone knows him, the local authority of the Law, after all. In addition to role cards, players also receive a character card - this is kept face up and determines your special abilities - there are more than 10 of these cards, so each game will be very different from the previous one.

All this, and also a simple but addictive combat system, guarantees that you will get unparalleled pleasure from the Bang board game!

  • The addition is not bad. Adds a variety of game maps and new characters. Interesting mechanics of one-time cards that need to be prepared for use. At the same time, the cards themselves, despite the complexity of their use, are not particularly effective, sometimes duplicating already existing cards.
However, in my opinion, "Valley of Shadows" and "A Few Cards More" bring a lot more fun to the game.

Green cards add a lot of efficiency. For active player this is an opportunity to get more impact force without sacrifices in the form of other cards (remember about the hand limit). For other players, this is, on the one hand, an opportunity to understand the player’s intentions (if a person has laid out a knife, then he will not be afraid to use it), and on the other hand, an opportunity to react to this. Which is again good for an active player - he will lose the knife, not the hard drive. Or he can take revenge on his neighbor for losing his hard drive)

Great addition. More interesting characters, more standard cards, and most importantly - green delayed action cards. Your opportunities are expanding because... there is no need to keep 10 “bangs” in your hands with a hand limit of two cards, but players also have the opportunity to react in time. More tactics, more psychologically intense combat and more roleplaying. Moreover, you don’t need to lay out or replace anything from the basic set or somehow relearn the conditions for playing basic cards!

Verdict: this is what a real addition should be - it adds depth to the current gameplay, but does not break your favorite mechanics. Definitely a wine!

A very cool addition, I recommend it to everyone. 8 has only been played a few times, but the green cards are worth buying this add-on even if you have a small company and never end up with 8 players.

    Cards with green border!

    Help me figure it out!
    Written:
"These cards are placed face down in front of the players.
up, like blue-bordered cards, but their effects apply
only when discarded (as a one-shot card with a brown border).
Such a card cannot be discarded on the same turn in which it
    was played out."
For example, I put it in front of me on my turn. Then the turn is passed to the player on the left. And he shoots me with a bang! Can I use the green card property (for example, bypass) now? Or should I wait a whole circle until it comes to me again?

The limit is only on your turn.
"Each card with a green border has a symbol for its effect. Not in your
turn, only cards with the “Miss!” effect can be played. "

They laid out, if a card with the “miss” effect and another player’s turn in which an attack is made on you, you have the right to use this green card.
If there is no “by” effect on the card, then you will have to wait for your next turn to activate the card you placed.
