Splinter cell conviction local network. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC)

I want to dedicate this article to one very useful and time-tested program Tunngle. Many players who do not have licensed versions games, are eager to play multiplayer or co-op games in the series Splinter Cell , but they don’t know how.

This is where the search for unnecessary programs on Google begins, the tedious setup of networks, problems with servers, and the like. And I'm telling you - for this there is an absolutely free, reliable and convenient program Tunngle.

To begin with, I will quote from one source:

Tunngle is a revolutionary peer-to-peer VPN solution that delivers the best online entertainment. This is a client program that helps players, while in it, play different games over a kind of local network. Tunngle imitates connecting different computers into one virtual (pseudo-local) network for cooperative game. The network only applies to games. Another feature, since this local network- anyone can host.

If in simple language, That this program makes it possible to play over a local network as if you were playing over the Internet. Thus, players located on different parts of the world can play, and neither a registration key for the game nor additional software is required.

And, of course, thanks to Tunngle you can play games from the Splinter Cell series. Namely:

  • Multiplayer Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (Versus)
  • Co-op Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (Coop)
  • Multiplayer Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (Versus)
  • Multiplayer Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Versus)
  • Co-op and multiplayer SC: Conviction (Coop & MP)

It goes without saying that before you start, you need to buy a download of the game and completely install it on your computer. I strongly do not recommend installing various repacks and rips, but installing games from the original image. Why? Firstly, repacks may have clumsy files. This causes problems in online play. Secondly, those required for network game files. In addition, most repackaged games cannot be updated, and this will come in handy for us. So I say right away: The instructions below do not guarantee operation on cropped or compressed games!

Where can I find the right version? Torrents are full of images from the original disks, it only takes a couple of minutes to find the one you need. Many links are provided on the Russian community forum Tunngle, use it. Let me tell you a secret that licenses are indicated by the symbol [L] in the torrent title.

So, the point is clear, the game is downloaded and installed. What to do next?

  • We go to Tunngle.net and register (don’t forget your password and login, yes).
  • Download the client itself (weighs ~4Mb).
  • Install the client on your computer.
  • Reboot the system.
  • Launch the client, enter your username and password, and log in.

Have you done the above? That's it, now we are ready. Further, the instructions change depending on what you are going to play. Let's talk about everything in order.

Then we will simply enter the game through our profile.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Versus)

The very dynamic multiplayer mode Double Agent has won the hearts of many fans of the series. Some people think that the Versus here is too simplified compared to the previous ones, others really like it. But, one way or another, the online component of the game was a success. Who to be? A quick spy or a tough mercenary?

  • We update the game to version 1.02a using the patch.

Note: This patch is for the English version, but it is also suitable for the Russian version. Also, you don't need a crack to play. Just install the patch and the game will work without protection.

Note: The following ports must be opened to create a server that can be connected to. Using Simple Port Tester you can check the status of these ports. Are the ports closed? This means you should open them according to this guide. It is almost impossible to log into a server with closed ports. You don't have to open them to connect.
    - 9103 TCP/UDP
    - 9100 TCP/UDP
    - 10196 TCP/UDP
    - Port range 22350 – 22380 TCP/UDP

  • Preparing for launch:
    1. Create Uplay account - Registration!
    2. Download the game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction versions 1.04 .
During the installation of the game and the fix, it is advisable to disable the antivirus (especially NOD 32) to avoid false positives and deletion of key files. And then add the game folder to the exclusion list.
    3. Download and install the network fix in the game folder.
Extract all files and folders inside the archive into the game folder with replacement.
3.1. Download if you wish DLC Insurgency, this will add several new maps (4-5) and full-fledged co-op missions, as well as a mode Last Stand.
The archive already contains all the necessary files for free network launch, link in Additional information.
    4. Open with notepad " ...game folder\src\system\skidrow.ini" and in the line User name enter the real one Uplay login, and in the line password Enter the password specified during registration.
    5. Find the file called “ Hosts» (« C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\"), open it with notepad and check if there are any links there and IP, connected with Ubisoft(if there are, then execute them by deleting them, otherwise it will crash)
    6. On file Conviction.ini (scr/system) is needed in the line LOG_NETWORK_USAGE put true instead of false.
    7. Download or if you are going to play on the Internet.

    Starting the game:
    1. Launch or and enter the room with players Splinter Cell: Conviction. To play over a real local network, you don't need to do this.
    2. Launch the game from a shortcut on the desktop (via the file ...\src\system\Conviction_game.exe) on behalf of the administrator.
Important: When you first start it, a message will probably pop up stating that the game is blocked by the Firewall, be sure to click “allow access”. (You'll have to minimize the game with Alt + Tab to see this message).
If there was no such message or you missed it, then go to the control panel and disable the firewall, or add the game to the exceptions.

    In the game:
    Connection:
Multiplayer -> Play over a local network (LAN) -> Search required server in the list and connect.

    Creating a server:
    1. It is necessary to open the port: 11155 , without this it will be impossible to connect to it or will be completely invisible.
You can check the presence of ports for openness using the program Simple Port Tester.
    2. In the game: Group game -> Game over a local network (LAN) -> Create -> Set the settings and wait for/invite a second player.

    Notes:

  • There is no need to download DLC, just if you want something new.
  • If it doesn’t find servers, then make sure that you go to a room where there are a lot of players and there are definitely created games. In addition, allow access to the game in your antivirus/firewall or disable them completely while playing. And even if this does not help, then manually open ports 9103, 9100, 10196 and 11155. In other cases, you most likely have a “gray IP” and you need to contact your provider to clarify this.
  • The “newest” OS build “beast expi 1999”, which has a lot of problems and bugs, as well as virus vulnerabilities, may also interfere.
  • If you downloaded the game not from our torrent, but from another, then make sure that multiplayer is not cut out there (and this is the case almost everywhere), and there is also a version 1.04 .
  • Before we start playing through Splinter Cell Conviction, we will briefly note the main innovations that you will encounter in this game. Let's start with the gameplay - now there is no need to hide the bodies of killed and stunned opponents. Because there will be many more of them here than in the previous parts combined. And now just a couple of hits on Sam will be enough for him to die - heavy body armor is a thing of the past, albeit making Fisher much more vulnerable, but also much more agile and faster. Control has been simplified - now all actions are performed with one button, by default it is space. The name of the potential action will be displayed directly on the item that is near you. The presence of endless ammo to the gun that Sam has. The standard pistol can be replaced with any other one you find, but the Splinter Cell Conviction walkthrough warns that some models, for example, the Desert Eagle, will not have a silencer, and accordingly, silently killing an enemy at a distance will be impossible. Without your participation, Sam will pick up the first machine he comes across, which can then be replaced with another if you find something better. In addition, weapons can be modified using points earned for performing certain tricks. For example, you can increase accuracy by installing a laser sight, or increase the magazine capacity. Removed the ability to regulate Sam's movement speed - either he moves quietly, crouched, or runs, straightened up full height, or walks. Another important innovation - do not look for the quick save game and quick load keys - they simply do not exist. The game itself saves after reaching a certain progress, and loads the last save itself. The main menu also lacks the word "Load" - there is only "Continue", which will automatically load your last save. Now to the interface - as in the previous part, you will not find any visibility or audibility sensors on the screen.

In order not to make noise, the Splinter Cell Conviction walkthrough advises you to just duck down. But with visibility everything becomes more interesting. When you enter the shadow or create it yourself by shooting at a light source, the world around you, like Fischer himself, will become black and white, the contrast will decrease. If you are even slightly visible, the picture will acquire partial color saturation and the contrast will increase. And if you are clearly visible to your opponents, all the details of the surrounding world will be bright and saturated, the contrast will be maximum. These are just the very basics that will be useful to you during the game. Splinter Cell Conviction is not at all difficult to navigate, unlike previous parts. Moreover, the direction to the target will be marked with a small white triangle, next to which the distance to it will be displayed. The main difficulty lies in how to slip past hordes of enemies undetected or how to quickly, quietly and effectively eliminate them. This walkthrough of Splinter Cell Conviction will help you deal with this.

Mission 1 - Street Market, Valletta (Malta)

Sam left Third Echelon and went into hiding for several years to single-handedly investigate the mysteries of the death of his only daughter, not remaining friends with his former employers - the organization became thoroughly corrupt after Lambert’s death. Sam is forced to save the country that used him and then threw him away like waste material. The plot itself is narrated by Victor Coste, Sam’s friend and former colleague in the special forces. He fell into the hands of a task force from the private military company Black Arrow, which interrogated him. All events take place according to his memories. The Splinter Cell Conviction walkthrough informs you - the first mission is more of a training nature, from it you will learn how to move, hide in shelters and shoot. The game itself will tell you about this in some detail in the tips (they are turned on by default), and this walkthrough of Splinter Cell Conviction will focus on the tactics for passing the level, both this and the next. Actually, the game begins with Sam sitting peacefully in a cafe in Malta, outdoors. The waiter comes up to him and brings a phone on a tray with wireless headset. In touch - Grimsdottir. She has identified Sam and wants to help his former colleague save himself from certain death - some mercenaries are already looking for him. If you have not played the previous parts of Splinter Cell, then we will introduce you to it - a computer genius, head of technological support in the Third Echelon. Lambert's assistant. Her role during Fisher's tenure with the organization was to provide Sam Fisher with the necessary technical support, and analyze and interpret electronic data.

After the changes since Lambert's death, Anna "Grim" began to play a much more important role in the new Third Echelon. Working closely with the new director, Tom Reed, Grim is the agency's most effective asset. Grim is currently working undercover in the White House. She reports on the phone that a group of armed mercenaries hunting Sam is already very close. Sam is actively interested in how she managed to find him. Walkthrough of Splinter Cell Conviction informs you - the first training task is to simply look up. This needs to be done by simply moving the mouse in the desired direction. You will see a satellite in the sky that glows like a star. After that, run in the direction indicated by a small white triangle with a number that changes as you go. This is the distance to the target. The first goal is a shelter behind which Sam will hide from the mercenaries looking for him. To hide, go to the shelter and press the second mouse button (hereinafter, the Splinter Cell Conviction walkthrough will refer to the default controls). Next task- get from this shelter to the next ones in order to get as close to the enemies as possible. Move the mouse towards the next shelter, press Spacebar, and Sam will dash there. And in the same way until the next one, until you reach the last cover, which is as close as possible to the opponents, but behind which they will not see you. Once you get there, Sam will be immersed in memories from twenty years ago. This was also done by the developers for a reason - here you will learn a number of useful techniques that will certainly come in handy in the future. Even the dialogue between Sam and very little Sarah will help you understand the principle of the game - do not forget to turn on the credits in the settings. The first task will be to simply open the door - go to it and press spacebar. Sarah will ask you to turn on the light, she is scared in the dark - go to the switch and press the space bar again. Listen or read the dialogue over the credits, where Sam will explain that when hiding in the dark, your eyes get used to it, and you see opponents both in the darkness and in the light, but those who stand under the lighting will not notice you - his eyes are accustomed to to the world This is how you will be introduced to dealing with darkness. Then the first combat experience will follow...

You will need to kill two bandits who have come for your soul. Unlike previous parts, despite the direction of your movement, you will be able to control the sight separately from the direction in which you are going. This allows you to deal with opponents much more effectively, at least quickly and sharply. To shoot from cover, hold down the second mouse button and click the first to shoot. The Splinter Cell Conviction walkthrough recommends always aiming only at the head - this way you will deal with your opponents much faster. You can also zoom in on the target, the zoom size is different for each weapon. For a basic pistol, this is only a semblance of a first-person view (which still simplifies shooting or turns on a laser sight if equipped), but in the future there will be weapons with an optical sight, where this function will be much more useful. To zoom in, press the middle mouse button (wheel). To return to normal zoom, press it again. Having dealt with these opponents, Sam will again go back to the memories of the same evening twenty years ago - while sitting with Sarah, he will hear some kind of ringing. Apparently someone broke into the house. Opening the door to her bedroom, make sure that it is so - robbers. Moreover, the first one has already attacked you. Press the "C" key to neutralize the enemy melee. Sam is a real ace at this. After such a technique (and only after neutralizing the enemy hand-to-hand), you will be able to activate a new unique opportunity - “mark and eliminate”. Now the passage of Splinter Cell Conviction will help you learn how to do this. The opponents stand motionless - that's why this is a training level. Aim at one first and press "Q". A red mark will appear above it. Repeat the same procedure with the other one. To eliminate them, press “E” - Sam will shoot both their heads with lightning speed. After which he will return from memories to reality - the enemy is standing in front with his back to him. Come closer and press “C” in order to deal not with a “dummy”, but with a “living” enemy capable of resisting. However, if everything is done correctly, he will not have such a chance! You now have the "mark and eliminate" option described above. And again, now you need to use it not on helpless “punching bags”, but on opponents ready for battle. Here too, if you do everything correctly, they won’t even have time to squeak. After eliminating them, run further along the alley past the car with its headlights on. Grim will report that she has identified the leader of these mercenaries - his name is Dmitry Gramkos. He is in front of the square, standing behind a small group of his mercenaries. The Splinter Cell Conviction walkthrough advises you to destroy them all, rather than sneak past them so they don't destroy you. But the main target is Gramkos. It will not be possible to kill this man with a shot, like his colleagues. When you point the sight at him, it (the sight) will turn into a cross, and Sam will not shoot. Such opponents are people from whom you can learn important information through interrogation, which is why Fischer does not want to kill them. We'll have to get closer to take him alive. He will resist only as long as his gang of four or five people covers him. When you kill her, he will heroically begin to run away. But he won’t be able to hide far. He will drive himself into a dead end - a room in the basement. However, he will still make an attempt to defend himself - he will close the door and fire several shots through it. Afterwards you can rush inside. The Splinter Cell Conviction walkthrough informs you - to break down the door, approach it and press “C”.

The enemy unwisely stood under the door, propping it up with himself. But is this a hindrance for Fischer? Our hero will open the door with a mighty blow, which will knock the enemy down and knock him down. Now he is yours. Many will like the further interrogation scene. You are required to drag it to any surface you like. Then press “C” so that Sam begins to forcefully knock out the information he needs. Namely, who sent the mercenaries, and why they want to kill him. Our opponent won’t want to talk nicely, so we’ll have to break a couple of urinals with his head, break a mirror or window. After these procedures, this same head will be covered in blood, but its owner will finally crack and tell us everything that interests us. The mercenaries were sent by Andrey Kobin. This man sells drugs and weapons, gets various people the goods they need through dishonest means. He was the one driving when Sam's daughter was hit. And he boasted about it very much. He heard somewhere that Fisher was on his trail and hired people to eliminate Sam before he eliminated Kobin. Also from the interrogation, Sam learns that the drug dealer can be found in the same city, in the old museum on King George Street - he now lives there. The victim even warned that there were a lot of guards there, both in front of the building, on the sides, and inside. After which the first training mission will end.

Brand-new addictive multiplayer modes amp up the dramatic intensity like never before.

    Bachelor Daniil Dankovsky
"Experienced players figured it out and fell in love with new genre", in which every mistake is punishable by failure, and not experienced players spat on the intricacies of the rules and returned to the fun Mesilov."
Let's take a simple example from conviction - a level in a third-tier building. If you get caught, start over.

“But you can’t guess what will happen if all the games are made according to the same template? For example, because you already know in advance what awaits you: the places, motivations, scenery change, but the essence remains the same.”
How could you forget about a little bit of creativity, which adds flavor? If it weren't for him, we would all be devouring Polish shooters from CITY Interactive. And in Sam we have high-quality directing, interesting discoveries with the “projection” of the briefing and flashbacks, an interesting cinematic style, as well as a successful combination of action and stealth. Well, what's bad? I think it's just wonderful.

"And I compared the games with complex rules and elements with simplified casual games."
You all follow the trends of time and fashion. So, simplified casual games and games with complex rules have always lived together.

"I'm not against the movie, I just wrote that it was made primarily for casuals."
Where did you get the idea, what for them? It is made for style, and both casual and hardcore people love to watch movies.
Therefore, both will appreciate the chip. Without cinematography, we would be contemplating the same sheer unnaturalness and clumsiness, which would make everyone sick.

    "I haven't played GoW2, KZ2, iF, so I can't say anything about them."
But you're talking about modern games generally. And in these there is seriousness. In GeoW2, the scene with Dom and Maria is staged so gorgeously that it gives you goosebumps. In iF - making a serious decision almost every five minutes, which will greatly affect both your reputation and the plot as a whole. In KZ2 there is also quite enough seriousness, just look at the style of the game.

“Therefore, if a casual player of the game feels remorse, then this may affect his enjoyment of the game.”
You present the casual as some kind of primitive creature, only devouring popcorn. All people want to feel different emotions (just like from films), even casuals.

“What are you talking about, but read the reviews on the forums for games of this kind (for example, ME2 or CoD MW2), half of the posts are based on emotions: “Wow, what a beautiful nuclear explosion! Wow, how cool it was when Shepard killed the thresher!”
Well, if it’s BEAUTIFUL, then why remain silent? Another thing is that in such moments it happens 3-4 times per game.

"In Chaos Theory, Sam was much weaker and his health did not recover, so he had to think through all his actions, but in SCC there was complete improvisation - they noticed, no problem, he shot everyone and moved on. The client is always right."
Yes, they removed the health bar, I agree, they simplified it a little. But Sam didn't become Tough Sam with armored skin, he became even more fragile than before (especially on high level complexity), you can kill him with two or three bullets, but outside of cover he really has no chance. And why is improvisation bad? quick response to the situation? In chaos theory, nothing could be done against two or three opponents, but here it became possible to try to get out (since Sam is no longer an employee of the Third Echelon and has access to more serious weapons). Everything is logical. This is better than loading a checkpoint a hundred times just because you simply physically cannot get out of the situation.

    Bruce
Schoolchildren are still called schoolchildren, and nerds are still called nerds. Nothing has changed, it’s just that it’s not schoolchildren whining about this topic. The series did not die, but changed. The stealth remained, the cinematography was added, the health bar was removed, and the fragility of the hero was added. All.

    Kontrovsky
What exactly is the simplification? Only Bachelor Daniil Dankovsky tried to justify it to me, the rest just stupidly “ugh, they simplified it.” Yes, the healthbar has been removed. Yes, now you can get out of a difficult situation, which is essentially not a simplification, but, on the contrary, an improvement for tactics (this is why “ghosts” were introduced to mark the last position).

“in “chaos theory” there were a bunch of ways to remove a guard.”
Isn’t it in conviction? Drop a chandelier on him, crawl over him on a pipe, wring his neck, take him as a human shield, throw him out of the window, stupidly shoot him.

“Sometimes walking quietly here is simply pointless.”
Well, it’s up to everyone to decide for themselves how they want to complete the game. All possibilities for stealth are given.

“I didn’t express myself exactly, I meant that the actions are monotonous: stuck to the wall, twisted my neck, stuck to the wall, twisted my neck, etc. sometimes you can jump from a pipe and that’s it from mission to mission, alone and the same bots using the same technique..."
I won’t copy-paste, see the first paragraph of my answer to you.

    "This is a cartoonish element)))"
    O_o Do you have a temperature? :)

“Sam holds the enemy by the neck in a circle outlined by light from which it is impossible to leave, on one side there is a piano, on the other there is a table and the only possible action is “interrogate” with the only possible objects in turn, the question: what to do? maybe press “c” and interrogate?))) But did anyone really give us a choice? This little freedom of action)))"
Let me add: on one side there is a piano, on the second there is a refrigerator, on the third there is a railing, on the fourth there is a window, on the fifth there is a table. The choice is obvious, each item has its own personal impact.

I held on, honestly, I held on. I tried to do everything courteously. Apparently, it was necessary to act according to your tactics. To poke everyone's face into nerdiness in a rude manner. :)
I also went through the entire game very quietly, firing very rarely... but their stealth died... their hands were out of their butts, and not the stealth died.

“If the gems hadn’t been changed, you yourself would have started crying that everything was the same.”
And I told them this too. They don't want to see.

"+if anyone has open jl 3 or lower, it’s clear why everyone thinks the graph is bad..."
    Why? "Shraders" are not suitable?))

"The graphics in chaos theory are really better. Even now, having installed the game, I immediately noticed the difference. There is some kind of realism there, you are immediately immersed in the situation. But the plastic models of people and wooden animation spoil everything. In this regard, conviction has made significant progress, people and their movements have become more natural, alive."
So this...where is it better? I didn’t understand that from your text.
In general, the graphics are better in all respects in conviction. I recently launched Chaos Theory, was horrified, and turned it off. Everything is better in conviction - shadows, lighting, models, textures.
