And if this is an online toy and you are playing against a live opponent... Believe me, if this is an experienced player using a gamepad, then you have practically no chance. 10. Street Fighter IV

This fighting game was developed for slot machines and consoles. Of course, when it was ported to PC, the controls were adapted to the keyboard, but it's much more convenient to play with a gamepad. Various combos, super-combos and focus attacks are much more convenient to perform on the joystick, if only because it is more difficult to miss and press the wrong key. The fighting game itself is quite good - a very good combat system, characters, each of whom has their own fighting style, and even some semblance of a plot. Although, it’s better not to even try to understand what’s going on here. After all, compared to local history, even the showdown between Scorpio and Sub Zero will seem like an incredibly deep drama. On the other hand, who really cares about the story in a game that's just there to blow off steam? So, fight for your pleasure.

9.Resident Evil 6

Another game from the series, which is traditionally considered a console game. And any of the parts of this series, not only the last one, is best played using a gamepad. And don’t believe the developers who say that the PC port is successful and no joystick is required! Of course, it is quite possible to pass Resident Evil 6 with just a keyboard and mouse. But once you switch to a gamepad, the game immediately becomes much more comfortable. If we talk about Resident Evil 6 itself (and this is how the name of the project is translated), then it turned out to be very spectacular, dynamic and, in places, even frightening. Although in terms of the level of tension it does not compare with the very first parts of the series, a zombie jumping out of the darkness will definitely not give you much joy. In general, the game is more action than horror, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting to play through.

8. Assassin's Creed Syndicate

The last part for now famous series. Assassin's Creed has always been ported to PC, starting from the very first part. And, to be honest, it was even quite successful. But it wouldn’t be on this list if the keyboard here was a full-fledged replacement for a gamepad. That all parkour movements and fights (in particular, various finishing moves) are much easier to do when playing using a joystick. It's simply more convenient to play with it. And, as already mentioned, with a gamepad it is much more difficult to miss and press the wrong key. If we talk about the game itself, then the focus, as always, is on the showdown between the Templar Order and the Assassins. I don’t want to reveal the plot to you - I’ll just say that the main characters are the twins Evie and Jacob Fry, and the action takes place in London of the 19th century, in the Victorian era.

7. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Few people need to introduce this game. Even if you are not familiar with this particular part, you have probably heard about the series about the adventures of the Prince of Persia. By gameplay Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a classic arcade action game (if you want, you can call it Action-adventure), with a considerable share of slasher. Why did this game get into this list? Most of the acrobatic stunts found here are much easier to do using a gamepad. And when it comes to fighting... Believe me, those fights that are easily completed using a joystick will make you break your fingers when playing on the keyboard. If we talk about the game itself and its plot, there is nothing particularly original here. Quite so classic story The prince who once again saves the kingdom from the Sands of Time. And you will find out for yourself how this happens.

6. Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Classic racing with licensed cool cars, great music and police chases. And there is even a plot here, although it is needed only to explain why we are once again participating in the race. This game, like most others, is easily played using the keyboard. But if you use a gamepad, then a certain level of immersion in what is happening on the screen immediately increases. I don’t know what this is connected with, but playing on a gamepad is more fun and interesting than on a keyboard. It’s even better, of course, using the steering wheel, but this is for very aesthetes. If we talk about the game itself, here we have a classic Need for Speed – a very interesting and dynamic arcade game about auto racing. There are not a few scratches left on the cars, and the speeds are so high that it is not entirely clear why your car does not take off above the road. In general, typical arcade gameplay, which, however, is great for those who want to really relax.

5. Ace Combat: Assault Horison

Series Ace Combat is a series of flight simulators about modern combat aircraft. As with any flight simulator, it is much more convenient to play here using a gamepad. The game has very good flight physics and modern combat vehicles, both from the NATO armed forces and from Russia. In total there are almost 40 different types of aircraft - fighters, bombers, and even helicopters. And you can fly in all this splendor. The game has a lot of advantages, to be sure, and it’s interesting to play through it - but it’s better not to try to follow the plot. In my opinion, it is not particularly logical and reliable in the game. However, this is what anyone likes. It’s quite possible not to bother with history, but just fly. Thankfully this is really interesting.

4. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

This project is a restart of the famous series Castlevania. The game takes place in supposedly medieval Europe. Why supposedly? Well, because everything here is completely fantasy. Castlevania belongs to the slasher genre - that is, in the process of passing we destroy tons of living and not-so-living opponents, and we do this in close combat. The game was released on consoles in 2010, and on PC only three years later, in 2013. And although it was ported to PC for a long time, playing on a keyboard is still not convenient. What can you do, Castlevania is a classic console slasher, and it’s much more convenient to play with a gamepad. Otherwise, the game is good, and great for letting off steam. So good luck in the fantasy Middle Ages.

3. Batman: Arkham Knight

Another great console action game. Great story, wonderful graphics and many of the most famous characters from comics. And controls that are designed for a gamepad, and in such a way that it is convenient to not implement it on a keyboard. No, of course we tried, but if you compare for yourself where exactly it is more convenient to cut down five opponents at a time - controlling with a gamepad or using a keyboard - then the choice will clearly be in favor of the gamepad. If we talk about the game as a whole, it definitely deserves your attention, if only because it is one of best projects, made from comics, from those that have been published recently.

2.DmC Devil May Cry

Another slasher film on our list, which is also a restart of the series. The game is just incredibly good, and just as brutal. The story is about demons who enslaved humanity, and Dante, the Nephilim, who exterminates these demons with particular cruelty. Everything is done very beautifully, stylishly, and the videos “shot” on the game engine will not leave anyone indifferent. The voice acting is also at the level - both the voices of the characters, and the special effects, and the music. One problem is that playing on the keyboard is not very convenient. Your humble servant managed to beat the game this way, but honestly, everything is much easier here on a gamepad. It seems to be the same actions - but on a joystick you can control them much faster. In general, put the gamepad in your hands and go ahead and have fun.

1.War Thunder

Online simulator about the equipment of the Second World War. Everything possible has already been said about this project, but it was simply impossible to ignore it. The joystick is needed here, first of all, for air battles (tank battles are best handled with a mouse and keyboard). Especially if you prefer to play “hardcore” - in simulator battles. Dozens of aircraft from five different nations, suitable for a variety of tasks, many battle modes - in general, it’s better to see for yourself. Fortunately, registration here is free.
