All resources in osiris new dawn. A complete guide to the basics of Osiris: New Dawn

Having crashed on an unknown planet, you must explore the unpredictable environment, make friends with the natives and build new ship. Miracles, hostile races and meteor showers await you. Wait, what is this, a cooperative?

After a hard landing on the planet, the main components of your starship became unusable. Now it is advisable for you and your comrades to establish a colony on an open planet, explore it and find resources that will help restore the ship. You will have to fight or tame alien creatures, look for mineral deposits, build shelters from meteorites and get food.

In 2046, humanity managed to create an engine that made it possible to send expeditions into deep space. Players will try on the overalls of the research group "Osiris", which went to explore the star system "Gliese 581". While exploring potentially habitable planets, your high-speed engine suffered a massive malfunction and forced you to make a hard landing on an unexplored planet.

After landing, players will not be constrained in their freedom of choice - they can explore the celestial body, however, common sense advises first building an effective base that will supply you with food, tools and weapons. The central base is a living compartment of the spacecraft, to which you can attach blocks - food, scientific, production and many others.

In the future, we will have to improve technology, and for this we will have to study the planet more and more deeply and find unique resources. And here players are in for a surprise - in the far corners of the planet you will encounter grotesque creatures who, for example, can freeze your blood or drink it. As a rule, such “gifts” spawn near resource-rich places.

You can only build a prosperous colony with friends, so the game contains all the attributes of a quality multiplayer– crafting, construction, joint research and combat system. Everything you need will have to be created yourself - from protection from meteorites and miasma to fortifications from other online players. The higher your technological development, the better the products will be.

For example, weapons are the primary means of survival, which will be your constant companion throughout the game. Immediately after landing, you can only scare the creatures inhabiting the planet. In the future, you will build a workbench that will allow you to modernize your weapons to suit local realities. If you want war, you will need real workshops, machines and storage facilities. But you can experiment as much as you like and create amazing designs.

Finally, the final part of the adventure is building a new spaceship, which will allow you to travel and discover other planets. Achieving the goal will be extremely difficult; the components for the starship are at the very top of the production chain. True, at the moment this does not make much sense - space is empty, and new planets will appear only in the future.

Osiris: New Dawn is a typical indie project located in early access. Nevertheless, the authors state in all seriousness: “The game has AAA qualities, such as: HDR lighting and textures high resolution that create a frightening and magnificent world". In fact, it will not be difficult to get around the game world by transport, and the AI of hostile mobs will not create any difficulties for you.

List of control buttons

Unfortunately, the game now not only lacks the ability to reassign control buttons, but there is also no list of assigned buttons. So that you don’t have to go through all the buttons yourself, you can use this list:
  • Esc - Main menu
  • E - Pick up/remove the current tool or weapon
  • F - Use/pick up/open container
  • V - Change camera
  • M - List of tasks
  • Q - Cancel/skip current job
  • Spacebar - Jump (hold to use Jetpack)
  • Left Ctrl - Crouch
  • Left Shift - Sprint
  • L - Flashlight
  • R - Reload
  • Enter - Start typing a message into the chat
  • Tab - Character Menu/Inventory
  • C - Cancel last order to droid

Standard equipment

In Osiris, the player starts with a standard set of equipment that cannot be lost if killed. In other words, the player will be reborn every time with this set of items in his inventory:
  • Be sure to use the Map (Radar), remember or even write down the coordinates of places to extract resources.
  • The first priority for construction is as follows:
    - Inflatable dome - your first home and save point. You can find him near the spawn point.
    - Depository - extracted resources need to be stored somewhere, in addition, if you exceed the maximum carry weight, your character will move slower.
    - Forge (Forge, Forge) - here you can make basic tools and materials for further development. This is one of the main and most important buildings!
    - Habitat (Residential module) - the basis for any base. Here you can place various equipment for the production of advanced components, store items, and also place a bed with a save point.
  • You will move faster if you free your hands (E button).
  • Train yourself to constantly use the Jetpack to move and fight (Space button). This will allow you to save stamina, oxygen, and also dodge attacks from annoying fauna.
  • To create a colony, go to the character menu ("Tab" button), click the Colony button above the character's name and give it a name. You will then be able to invite other players to join the colony by interacting with them.

ATTENTION! It is best to create a colony immediately after the start of the game, otherwise your allies will not be able to use the buildings you built before creating the colony.

  • If you die (and this will most likely happen, more than once) - you will appear at the point of your last save (by the bed). Afterwards you should go back and loot your body, which Radar will help you find.
  • Don't forget to use a flashlight in the dark ("L" button).
  • With a multi-tool you can not only build, but also, for example, rename your droid.

Be careful! Pressing the E button while holding a multi-tool can accidentally delete your structure without any warning.

  • With the help of Chisel, you can kill almost any first-level mob, the main thing is not to forget to patch up your spacesuit in battle.
  • Immediately after building the Forge, use it to create a Shovel. With it you can get Sand, which is necessary to create Glass.
  • Use Shift+Click to instantly move item stacks between your character's inventory and storage.
  • You can place one item from the stack. To do this, grab the stack using LMB, and without releasing it, right-click on the required slot.
  • Gas from geysers can be extracted using a Barrel.
  • If your FPS drops, try reducing the Terrain detail. You can also try disabling global occlusion.
  • Everything you craft in the Forge or, for example, in the Fabricator is moved to the inventory of this device. Go to the device's inventory tab (top right) and take the crafting result from there.
  • You can order your droid to do resource extraction. It will automatically put them in the nearest Depository.

Resources (Description and location coordinates)

Osiris: New Dawn has a decent amount of different ores available for mining and used to create devices and components.
  • Resources such as: Aluminum, Azurnium, Carbon, Copper, Diamond, Gold, Iron, Lead, Lithium, Magnesium (Magnesium), Plutonium (Plutonium), Titanium (Titanium) - mined using Chisel from veins scattered throughout the map.
  • Rubber can also be obtained using the Chisel from Rubber Trees.
  • In addition, the Chisel can be used to extract Berry from Berry Trees.
  • Sand can be obtained using a Shovel in almost any free space on the map.
  • Gases: Chlorine (Chlorine), Flourine (Florin), Hydrogen (Hydrogen), Nitrogen (Nitrogen), Oxygen (Oxygen) - can be collected from geysers using a Barrel.

Questions from players (from comments to the guide)

  • Has anyone encountered a problem starting a single player game? I can't launch it. I join publics without problems, but sing doesn’t work.
As it became known later (thanks to the one who asked this question) - single player may not launch if you have spaces or special characters in your Steam nickname.
  • How to start local multiplayer?
Read about the launch of the server and other details of the network game in the "Network game" section.
  • Where can I get Asurium?
Azurnium is mined in space, on asteroids located there. Sometimes it can be found on the planet in the form of fallen asteroids.
  • How to fix a droid?
The droid can be repaired using the Multi-Tool.
  • What to do if the droid is destroyed?
There is currently no way to restore it in the game. Just save and re-enter the game - the droid will appear next to you, safe and sound.
  • Can a worm be killed?
So far there is no such possibility.
  • How to invite a friend to a party?!
First you need to create a colony, and then go to a friend and invite him by pressing the "F" button. More detailed information- in the "Network game" section of the guide.
  • The oxygen in the suit is restored on its own (unless, of course, it has reached zero percent), is this a bug or am I missing something?
No, this is not a bug, everything is how it should work. To consume less oxygen, you should use the Jetpack more often. You can also restore oxygen in the Inflatable Dome or Living Module (if an Oxygen Generator is installed there).

IN game Osiris: New Dawn resources can be found in the wild in almost any corner of the unexplored planet. It is the search for these things that is the first step in building a successful colony, because many useful objects and structures are created from them. There are several types of resources that the player needs to collect in order to craft certain items. Their coordinates will be presented below.

How to find resources in Osiris: New Dawn?

In your inventory you can find a tool called Map, which shows the coordinates of your current location.
